Heavy rain stops as Forum begins

HANGZHOU, April 13   Believe it or not? The Heavy rains that have showered this "Oriental Capital for Holiday-goers" came to a sudden stop, when the First World Buddhist Forum" began at 9:00 am, Thursday.

"It's really interesting, though I'm not religious," said a local reporter who stay at the Xingdu Hotel, which hosts all the over 250 journalists from local and overseas media during the gathering.

As a result, the reporters no longer have to bring an umbrella while carrying all the heavy stuff for their profession. "Thank Buddha!" said the reporter, who said he is not religious but do respect all religions.
